Scotch Egg

Ingredients

  1. 10 ounces ground pork sausage
  2. ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  3. ½ teaspoon onion powder
  4. ½ teaspoon dried sage
  5. ½ teaspoon salt
  6. ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  7. 4 eggs, medium boiled, peeled
  8. ½ cup all-purpose flour
  9. 1 egg, beaten
  10. ¾ cup Italian style breadcrumbs
  11. Nonstick cooking spray

Method

  • Step

    MIX the sausage, garlic powder, onion powder, sage, salt, and pepper together. Divide into four balls.

  • Step

    WRAP the sausage around each of the peeled medium boiled eggs until the egg is fully covered.

  • Step

    COAT each sausage-covered egg with flour, then dip in the beaten egg, and roll in breadcrumbs. Dip in the egg and breadcrumbs again.

  • Step

    SELECT Preheat on the air fryer, adjust to 350°F, then press Start/Pause.

  • Step

    SPRAY the scotch eggs liberally with the cooking spray.

  • Step

    PLACE the scotch eggs in the preheated air fryer.

  • Step

    SELECT Frozen Foods, adjust time to 15 minutes, and press Start/Pause. Make sure to flip the eggs halfway through cooking (the Shake Reminder function will let you know when!).
